All of the San Francisco Bay Area’s Ghost Signs in One Place

Now with East Bay ghost signs included!

The one and only San Francisco Bay Area Ghost Sign Map. Started in 2011, the map is updated on a monthly basis to reflect changes in the signage landscape. The map is color coded according to sign type.

• Blue = Building/Business sign

• Red = Ad/Brand sign

• Green = Indecipherable

• Pink = Restored

• Purple = Covered up or demolished since time of post

• Yellow = A “secret sign” that is not publicly accessible

Each map point includes a photo of the sign and any relevant historical information on the sign, the brand, the business, or the building in question. Don’t see a sign on the map? Let us know!
