The one and only San Francisco Ghost Sign Map. Started in 2011, the map is updated on a monthly basis to reflect changes in the city’s landscape. The map is color coded according to sign type.

• Blue = Building/Business sign

• Red = Ad/Brand sign

• Green = Indecipherable

• Pink = Restored

• Purple = Covered up or demolished since time of post

Each map point includes a photo of the sign and any relevant historical information on the sign, the brand, the business, or the building in question. Don’t see a sign on the map? Let us know!
