RIP the Hunt's Quality Donuts sign on Mission Street. The sign was uncovered in 2010 when Commonwealth replaced the taqueria that previously occupied the space. Now that they're gone, so is the sign, replaced by yet another monochromatic hipster wall.
I will not attempt to do the story of Hunt’s Donuts justice, mainly because I never had a chance to go, but here are some memories from other San Franciscans.
